Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of GCal Cleaner, including this marketing site and the GCal Cleaner app. The operator is Vladyslav Kysil (Ukraine). Contact: twainprod.dev@gmail.com.
By using GCal Cleaner you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. Best-effort personal tool
GCal Cleaner is provided as a best-effort personal tool, “as is” and “as available.” There is no service-level agreement, uptime promise, or guaranteed support. Google’s APIs, OAuth, and rate limits can slow, pause, or fail a deletion run. Hosting can go down.
2. What the app does
The app connects one Google account and can bulk delete events from one writable Google Calendar, for one day, inside a timeslot you choose. You preview events, uncheck any you want to keep, then confirm. Recurring events follow the mode you select (this day only, this and following, or entire series). You can also permanently delete a secondary calendar you own. The primary calendar cannot be deleted.
The app is free to use today. A paid plan may be added later. We will update these terms if paid access is introduced.
3. Your account and permission
- You must be allowed to use Google Calendar and to grant the requested OAuth scopes.
- You may only delete events on calendars you are permitted to change (typically owner or writer). You may only delete a whole calendar if you own it and it is not your primary calendar.
- You are responsible for what you confirm. Do not use GCal Cleaner to interfere with calendars you do not have the right to edit.
4. Deletions are irreversible
When a delete succeeds, Google Calendar removes that event (or series / following occurrences, depending on mode). Deleting a calendar removes the calendar and all of its events. GCal Cleaner cannot undelete for you. Preview carefully. Uncheck anything you need. Stopping a run in progress does not restore events already removed.
5. Notifications
Deletes are sent with Google’s sendUpdates=none. Guests should not receive cancellation
email from this cleanup. Google’s behaviour can change; we do not warrant that no notification will
ever be sent by Google.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse Google’s APIs or attempt to bypass rate limits in a way that violates Google’s terms
- Misuse the app to harm other people’s calendars or data
- Reverse engineer the app except as allowed by law
- Imply that GCal Cleaner is a Google product
Your use of Google Calendar remains subject to Google’s Terms of Service and API terms.
7. Intellectual property
GCal Cleaner name, branding, and site content belong to the operator unless otherwise noted. Google Calendar and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC. GCal Cleaner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
8. Privacy
How information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. The app is frontend-only: tokens and session details stay in your browser; calendar payloads go between your browser and Google.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that bulk deletion will always complete, that every event in a slot will be listed, or that Google will always accept a request.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for lost events, lost profits, missed meetings, or other damages arising from use of GCal Cleaner, including failed, partial, or unexpected deletions and Google rate limits or outages. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim (currently zero while the app is free).
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify the operator against claims arising from your use of the app, including deletions you confirm and calendars you access.
12. Changes and termination
We may change these terms or discontinue the app at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. We may block access if we believe these terms or Google’s rules are being violated.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law in your country says otherwise.
